Ive always emphazed a friendly professional environment where our patients feel like they are with those who truly care about the services provided.

    A little history on myself:

I went to Lockport Township High School, attended undergrad and dental school at the University of Detroit-Mercy and graduated in May 2009. Ever since, Ive worked tirelessly on keeping myself updated on the latest technology, techniques, and other aspects of dentistry to give true justice to my patient’s experiences with me. I have been blessed to work alongside two great mentors– Dr. Alamdar (my father) & Dr. Shafeeq (my uncle) whom I have learned a great deal from.

I welcome you to come by and meet me personally & my wonderful staff. I can give you a tour of my office and insight on the types of treatments we offer here at Dental Heights!

  • Are You a Good Candidate for Dental Implants?

dental implants schaumburg il If you have missing teeth, dental implants might be the right corrective option for you. Dental implants are great options for patients who are missing one, several, or even all of their teeth. Dental implants are strong, natural looking alternatives to bridges, crowns, or dentures. If you’re looking for dental implants in Schaumburg, it’s important to visit a dentist in order to determine if you are a good candidate for this procedure.

    Good Overall Health

Dental implants are the most successful on patients who are in good overall health. There are certain health issues that may affect the dental implant being able to fuse to your bone. Some of these health issues include cancer, gum disease, smoking, or diabetes. It is important to discuss your health in detail with your dentist in order to allow the best opportunity for implant success. In your conversation with your dentist, it is a good idea to share all prescription and over-the-counter medications that you are taking.

    Good Oral Habits

Good candidates for dental implants must be willing to practice good oral hygiene. Dental implants need to be kept clean through daily brushing and flossing. It is also important to visit your dentist on a semi-annual basis in order for the stability of your implants to be monitored. Your dentist will also use special instruments to clean your implants. These instruments are designed to clean the implants without doing any damage to the metal surfaces.

    Sufficient Bone Structure

Dental implants are implanted directly into the bone. Your dentist will use x-rays, CT scans, and computer imaging in order to ensure that the implants are placed correctly in the bone. It is imperative that the patient has enough bone in order to be a good candidate for dental implants. Bone loss is very common in patients who are missing teeth. This is because bone needs stimulation in order to retain its structure. In fact, dental implants are sometimes specifically used to prevent further bone loss in patients who are missing teeth. If a patient does not have enough bone structure to undergo the implant procedure, a bone-grafting procedure could be a possibility in order to increase bone volume.

  • The Advantages of Dental Implants

schaumburg cosmetic dentist If you have one or several missing teeth, dental implants may be the best option for you. Unlike a dental bridge, an implant is rooted into the bone structure below the gums. In other words, dental implants are the next best thing to healthy, natural teeth. Implants are also undetectable to the human eye, allowing you to be confident in your beautiful new smile. Here is a look at some of the biggest advantages of dental implants for restoring missing or damaged teeth. If interested in learning more, discuss dental implants with your Schaumburg cosmetic dentist .

    Natural Look and Feel

Dental implants restore lost or damaged teeth so that they look, feel, fit, and function like natural teeth. Not only will this give you confidence in your smile but will also allow you to taste and enjoy the foods you love without hesitation. Unlike removable dentures, dental implants allow you to bite naturally and eat virtually anything you want without discomfort or fear.

    Durable Long-Term Solution

Typically, tooth-supported dental bridges only last between five and seven years. With extra-special care, dental bridges can last more than 10 years—but at some point they may need to be replaced. While dental implants may need periodic adjustments and cleanings, they can last a lifetime when properly placed by a skilled Schaumburg cosmetic dentist and cared for over time.

    Protect Healthy Bone

When it is not being used to support a natural tooth, the jawbone deteriorates over time. Dental implants preserve healthy bone and significantly reduce resorption and deterioration that results in loss of jawbone height, which can affect how you speak, talk, and smile. In fact, dental implants are the only dental restoration option that preserves natural bone. Implants can also preserve natural tooth tissue by avoiding the need to cut down adjacent teeth for conventional dental bridgework.
